How do I get rid of hoary alyssum?
Hand pulling can be effecting to manage small patches or control perimeters. Be sure to remove the root at least a half inch below the soil. Encouraging the growth of desired species by seeding, fertilizing, and watering can help to reduce invasive plants. The RDKB has been conducting 'goat trials' as goats have been shown to reduce hoary alyssum. The RDKB offers a Cost Share program for properties in areas C, D, and E. Information and application forms can be found here, or you reach out to us at info@boundaryinvasives.com or 250-446-2232 or our Facebook or Instagram. More information on the management of invasive species can be found here.
